Dover Center Co-Medical Director Awarded Fellowship of American College of Physicians

 

Magued Rizkalla-Hanna, MD was recently awarded Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). This fellowship is a mark of distinction representing the highest level of competency, integrity, and knowledge for those in the practice of internal medicine. The honor is awarded to physicians who apply the most up-to-date scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to diagnosis and treat their patients across the broad spectrum of health ranging from everyday wellness issues to complex illness. Fellows are recommended by their peers for achieving excellence in medicine and for contributing to the broader community in which the internist lives and practices. Currently there are 38 practicing internists in the state of New Hampshire that have reached this achievement. 

Dr. Rizkalla is also the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award. This distinguished award reflects the difference doctors make in the lives of their patients. The honor is bestowed on physicians who have received nearly perfect scores, as voted by their patients. Fewer than 5% of practicing physicians were bestowed this honor by their patients last year.

Dr. Rizkalla serves as a Co-Medical Director at Dover Center for Health and Rehabilitation, located at 307 Plaza Drive in Dover.He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is carries the distinction of Certified Medical Director (CMD) from the American Medical Directors Association. The CMD is held by only 16 physicians in the state of New Hampshire. Dr. Rizkalla also carries a Master in Public health degree from Boston University. He has served the Seacoast community since 1997 and currently has privileges at Exeter Hospital, Portsmouth Regional Hospital and Catholic Medical Center.
 
Dr. Rizkalla is a member of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Medical Societies, the American Medical Directors Association, the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.  He was instrumental in founding the New Hampshire Medical Directors Association (NHMDA) and currently serves on its board of directors as Vice President. He works diligently with NHMDA to organize annual symposiums in New Hampshire that offer practitioners the most up-to-date scientific knowledge and clinical expertise from nationally recognized speakers in skilled and long term care.
